150 Years of Cambridge Corn Exchange (working title)

The aims of this project are to: Uncover, share, and celebrate the heritage of Cambridge Corn Exchange as it turns 150 in 2025. Develop new and currently underrepresented audiences. Engage local communities with the exploration of this heritage, its relevance and connections to their lives. Provide opportunities for young people to engage and connect with the heritage of the building, and our wider programme. Create a legacy of engagement around this heritage. Outcomes will include: A heritage research project, including archive research and community-engaged research - uncovering and recording oral histories. Including opportunities for 5-10 volunteers. A series of 36 heritage workshops with 6 schools- engaging 270 children. A co-created 150th Anniversary exhibition, with permanent displays ,accessible to 170k+ visitors/year. Digital Exhibition elements reaching 550k people. Developing a legacy programme for communities. Including in person and digital heritage building tours and a heritage lesson package for local schools.
