200 years and beyond - a living heritage

We will safeguard our heritage from 1824 by repairing and conserving our buildings and making them fit for purpose for the present generation. We will increase accessibility by the provision of new signage and with a better understanding of St George’s as a living heritage. We are providing workshops on how our buildings were created, alongside of teaching about sustainability within the context of a Grade II listed building. We will host three concerts and an open day, creating opportunities for people to take part in and link with our heritage. Regency, War-Time and the 60s will be the focus of the concerts with music and food from each era. We will increase outreach by including LGBTi choirs and groups such as Speak Out for older people with learning difficulties. New streaming equipment will allow those unable to attend the buildings in person to take part in this living heritage.
