To restore and conserve 8 Bowling Green Street, a unique Grade II listed building in the city centre of Leicester, as Phase 3 of building works at Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage’s new premises, being used as a public archive and a heritage and arts events venue. The building has previously been empty for several years and fallen into disrepair and has no wheelchair access to the archive, conference room and meeting spaces on the first floor. The 25-year lease on the building will provide a sustainable legacy for the Living Archive, as well as the heritage of the building.
