Historic Buildings
We wish to repair and conserve the stonework of the C15th tower of St Laurence Church which is currently badly eroded and becoming unsafe. The temporary felt roof of the tower will be replaced by traditional lead to ensure it continues to be watertight for many years to come. Whilst the scaffolding is in place for these works the external faces (one stone and two metal) of the church clock will also be refurbished. This work will enable us to further develop publicity and activities for the local (and wider) community, promoting the unique heritage of the church buildings in a safe and secure way.
