Archives Revealed is the only national funding programme dedicated to unlocking archival collections. This proposal will expand Archives Revealed into a cross-cutting programme for the archives sector across the UK. We will build upon our strong track record of grant-giving, continuing to offer Cataloguing and Scoping Grants. However, we will transform the programme’s ambition, by: 1. Funding public engagement and participation in every project; 2. Creating a programme of training, knowledge-sharing, mentoring and cohort working, to further support our grantees and the wider sector; 3. Piloting new ways of grant-making at greater scale, creating Consortium Grants with the potential to generate thematic, geographic or technological benefit; 4. Celebrating and advocating for archives through communications and events. Archives Revealed will: • save archival heritage and make it accessible; • equip archives for the future through skills and knowledge sharing; • and significantly increase the impact and public engagement of diverse archives across the UK.
