Empower the Community through a five-month heritage project: 1. Animate and explore the rich history of Bermondsey and Rotherhithe, connecting the community to its heritage through engaging activities and research. 2. Train and upskill community members with training in heritage skills to 10 local participants, offering expert guidance from archival specialists and Southwark Archives. 3. Research and collate historical local songs which help us explore the history of Bermondsey and Rotherhithe. 4. Curate an exhibition that showcases the results of the community research, highlighting the work of the 10 volunteers. 5. Develop a new play using the findings of the research. 6. Preserve the research for the future by depositing material with Southwark Archives, ensuring the heritage is preserved for future generations. 7. Forge new heritage partnerships through collaborations with other local creatives, community organizations, and heritage providers to strengthen the impact of the project.
