The North Craven Building Preservation Trust is at a critical point, changing from an entirely volunteer-run organisation to one employing professional staff to manage a portfolio of listed buildings requiring renovation and re-use. To ensure organisational resilience, we need to raise our public profile, consult our communities and address weaknesses in our current administrative processes. We plan to: strengthen our IT capacity and skills; replace outdated hardware and implement software to support file-sharing for communication and planning and to provide data security for business-critical information; reduce our carbon footprint by minimising data duplication and optimising digital storage and efficient file-sharing; develop a new website to promote our building preservation activity; strengthen our use of digital to support income generation; commission community consultation to inform our 10-year strategic vision; train our volunteers to develop robust digital skills, in particular to provide stability in periods when we have no paid project staff.
