This project will support long-term resilience and impact by addressing audience development strategies, support research, segmentation, and the creation of a marketing strategy. Investment in interpretation and storytelling forms a core strand. This includes interpretation consultancy, story development, interpretation design, and an audio trail pilot. Piloting digitisation and interpretation will improve access for those unable to visit in person, support learning and research. We will strengthen the foundations of the site by developing robust business plans for our café, shop, and galleries, increasing earned income and reducing long-term reliance on grant funding through the creation of a pricing strategy. These strands will secure our heritage, enhance public benefit, and ensure the organisation is financially and operationally sustainable. The project supports creative testing and innovation, allowing us to trial new approaches to social engagement through design, and evaluation. Capital investment underpins digital content creation, documentation, and long-term capacity.
