Burnley Empires’ New Chapter - Preserving Space To Create A Future

This project will bring people together to value the heritage of the Burnley Empire, save the building, connect with a wider audience, maintain the needs and interest from the local community and build enthusiasm for its future as well as displaying a physical need for the building that will inspire confidence in the long term project. Continuing on from the success of our last Heritage Fund project and by taking onboard advice from a younger audience, we will programme innovative public engagement to connect with a diverse audience and raise awareness of the historic building as well as working with local organisations and venues to deliver heritage and cultural events and activities on site and off site. This project will also allow us to keep up the momentum of safeguarding the building for now and future generations by carrying out capital works to stabilise the building, and halt further decay.
