Our two main aims build on our previous Covid Recovery Project: 1 – BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS TO ADDRESS URGENT REPAIR NEED AND MAKE WAKE HOUSE OPEN TO ALL: Urgently needed repairs - repair of the roof, render, damp, wood framed and Crittall windows. Improving accessibility into / around the building and flexibility for community use. Conserving interior heritage features. 2 – RECOGNISING CHARLES WORTH’S 200th ANNIVERSARY Delivering our Heritage Interpretation Plan through: - research in preparation for the October 2025 200-year anniversary of CFW’s birth - inclusive events, celebrating local, national and international connections to the birthplace of CFW, coordinated with other venues (local, national and international) and - improved permanent interpretation within Wake House DURING DEVELOPMENT/DELIVERY PHASES WE WILL ALSO: Employ experts to guide the project and we will further develop our knowledge and skills so we can maintain the improvements effectively.
