Clevedon Marine Lake - Fit for the Future
Our project will ensure that MARLENS and the Marine Lake are resilient and sustainable for the future, so more people can enjoy and benefit from this fantastic and important heritage site. The popularity of the lake has grown post-COVID and we need income to keep pace so we can meet mounting operational and administrative demands as these outgrow the capacity of the current operating structure. This project would bring in the resource and specialist expertise so we are able to develop a financially and environmentally sustainable long-term business plan, become accessible to more people and develop/embed the systems and processes needed to underpin the management of the site in an inclusive, safe and compliant way. The legacy would be a new operating model and a bright future, enabling a more diverse range of people to benefit from their heritage and ensuring we can look after the site for the long-term.
