Defining a Decade: A 10-year masterplan for Sheffield Museums
Defining a Decade will refine and focus Sheffield Museums’ ambition to become a progressive, resilient and sustainable organisation. Rooted in Sheffield, the museums will enrich life in the city, connecting people with their heritage and creating welcoming and inspiring museum experiences for everyone. Outputs include; • a holistic organisational and estate masterplan • agile and realistic delivery plans • a 5-year business plan. We will prioritise activity across capital project planning, income generation, creative programming, collections development, measuring impact and identifying and mitigating risk. This project will invest in our teams’ skills and capacity and nurture an adaptive, collaborative organisation that makes a sustainable contribution to Sheffield and the communities we serve. Defining a Decade will develop a clear strategy to guide us through this globally challenging period to a fruitful future, safeguarding previous NLHF investment and actively contributing to a vibrant Sheffield that understands and values its rich heritage.
