Denbigh Museum plans to relocate from the Old Magistrates Court to the newly refurbished Buttermarket in Denbigh town centre, partnering with other community organisations. This funding will facilitate the safe transfer of collections and new interpretation installations – both digital and traditional. As a result the group will be able to organise a range of activities for the community, as well as support with recruiting new volunteers, including younger members, to help run the museum and ensure its long-term sustainability. The move to the Buttermarket will provide a better environment for displaying and storing collections, ensuring their preservation and optimal care. Collaborating with Buttermarket partners will enhance our capabilities and help us reach more diverse audiences. We aim to increase footfall by being more accessible, attracting visitors to boost the local economy, and engaging young people in heritage for future sustainability.
