Dry at Last! (125 years too late) - Comprehensive Rainwater Drainage Solution

To increase the number of people who return to the building because they enjoy it. Protect the building fabric and create a warmer, drier church interior which feels better for all who enter. To provide a comprehensive rainwater drainage solution minimising decay to the Grade I Listed church structure by maximising the drainage of roof rainwater and churchyard rainwater near to the church stone walls to a new soakaway. To minimise decay of the walls by minimising the rainwater close to the external walls, the core of the walls, the inner surfaces of the walls - will keep the walls in a better condition, pointing will last longer, internal wall lime plaster and wall decoration will be attractive for longer and reduce ongoing repair costs. To minimise decay to the timber floors close to the external walls. This project will reduce ongoing repair costs. The drier structure reduces heating costs.
