East Harling - Under One Roof

'Under One Roof’ will deliver on two key project strands. The first is to repair the roofs to stop water penetration and the resulting loss of historic fabric, which will remove our Grade I listed church from Historic England’s ‘At Risk’ Register. The second is to deliver a programme of community learning, wellbeing and conservation activities. These will be delivered for people of all ages through informal partnerships and focus on: *A new interpretive gallery located within the church, co-created with our community, entitled ‘Under One Roof’ and telling the story of our village over time, highlighting the church’s constant presence and place as a repository of identity and heritage *Using the church story to inspire family history workshops with the Norfolk Record Office *A new ‘Animal Trail’ Trail for children *Strengthening our Eco Church status and community engagement through churchyard conservation skills training and wellbeing activities for all.
