Historic Buildings
Our vision is that St Denys’ church is no longer on the Historic England Heritage At Risk Register and is once again at the centre of the community acting as a beacon for people in the immediate village and the surrounding area. Our vision includes; - The restoration of the tower and spire and the stonework on the SE corner so our Grade 1 church is no longer on the At Risk register and is safe - Installation of an accessible toilet, a public toilet for the use of visitors and which supports the sustainability of the church as a place for events and community use - An increased understanding and appreciation of the village and church heritage, and the role that ironstone has had in shaping this over the centuries - An increased breeding population of swifts and understanding of where conservation action can best focus in the future
