Falkenham Living Heritage 2026

Until recently, Falkenham Church has been open daily. It is used by visitors who appreciate the historic building and by all who enjoy the peaceful and spiritual setting. People with a family connection also visit and so there is a strong cultural heritage aspect too. As the only communal building in the village, it is also used for regular community and fundraising events, as well as Church services. The building supports the heritage activity of bellringing with a band of bellringers from the community practising weekly and ringing for all services. Because of essential repairs needed to the tower, currently the main door is closed, so the Church is open just for services and events. Safe access is via the vestry only; this currently limits access for people with physical disabilities and prevents wheelchair access. The aim is to re-open daily this the only community hub in the village.
