Faringdon Follies: Developing Folly Hill, Folly Tower and Folly Woodland for the Benefit of the Community

The iconic Faringdon Folly Hill, Folly Tower and Folly Woodland are not only integral to the identity and heritage of Faringdon and surrounding area and can be seen from many miles away, but are also a favourite destination for the local community and visitors from far afield. The Tower is in urgent need of essential repairs to make it safe. The Hill and the Woodland offer an island of tranquility and a haven for wildlife that need to be protected so that they can continue to be enjoyed by all. New opportunities - such as the compelling Tolkien links that have recently come to light - offer real potential for greater participation and inclusion involving all three Follies: the Hill, the Tower, and the Woodland. By embracing and developing these opportunities, we can also guarantee greater organisational sustainability into the future.
