Historic Buildings

Grant Lodge: Gateway to Moray

Our project will restore the category B listed Grant Lodge (GL, 1766) in Elgin, Moray, removing it from the Buildings at Risk Register and bringing it back into use as a thriving heritage, tourism, and events hub for the community of Moray. GL is located in a prominent position in the historic designed green space of Cooper Park and is loved by the people of Moray. Responding to opportunity and public demand, our project will reinstate GL at the centre of the park. The carefully restored heritage venue will provide a range of fully accessible, flexible, elegant spaces including ‘interactive’ welcome room, café/bar, gallery, exhibition, retail, events spaces. The completed building will become a lynchpin of the cultural quarter, and a destination for local people and visitors alike, shining a light on Moray’s unique heritage while reinstating the building to the heart of the community for generations to come.
