Growing Together: Embedding Inclusion and Collaboration in our Museums

Through Growing Together: Embedding Inclusion and Collaboration in our Museums, we will empower museums across the expanded South West - which now includes Hampshire Solent - to make systemic changes for genuine inclusivity, reaching across audiences, communities and their workforces. Through this project, museums will grow in understanding, confidence, capability; make genuine and lasting change to the way they work: the goals they set, the actions they take, the conversations they have and the people they attract to visit, work and engage with them. We will both extend and develop the patterns of growth achieved in our previous project, Travelling Together, engaging further EDI champions, providing community grants, building local Museum Development Officers (MDOs) capacity and benefiting more museum participants (including the new area of Hampshire Solent). We will evaluate to understand the longer-term impact, deepening our understanding of what effective development support for greater inclusion looks like.
