Historic Buildings
"Gwytha ha Crefhe" (Preserve and Strengthen)
This project ensures that six of Cornwall’s most important historic places will be protected and managed for years to come through the transfer of ownership to the charity. The delicate balance of their historic and environmental needs will be carefully maintained and their fascinating stories shared with the local communities and visitors from further afield. Cornwall Heritage Trust will become more resilient through the upskilling of both staff and volunteers, as well as the recruitment of a key staff role to oversee the transfer, introduce management plans and build the number of volunteering opportunities to ensure that the management of the sites in their care will continue for years to come. This funding will raise awareness of these six hidden treasures, which are freely accessible to be enjoyed all year round, and will join the existing 16 sites in the care of the charity.
