Historic Buildings
Our project aims are- 1. To foster the heritage sector in Dorset through supporting community heritage and local history groups with expertise and resources and support Dorset Council and others in their heritage work. 2. To ensure the sustainability of our organisation, by increasing the diversity, numbers and skills of members targeted at disadvantaged people, and procuring much needed equipment 3. To widen understanding and appreciation of Dorset’s heritage through specific site/community based archaeological surveys and excavations, particularly by under-represented groups. 4. To protect the heritage at specific sites through improved understanding and care by the local community, community groups and historic asset owners through engagement and management plans. 5. To impact the mental and physical health of participants positively.
