The Harby Bell Restoration Project aims the church bells and increase awareness of the heritage of bells and bellringing in the rural community. The existing peal of 5 bells will be restored and augmented to 6 bells, with the new bell dedicated to the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The project will also include the addition of two training bells to enable more people to learn the ancient and historic art of bellringing, as well as providing an area hub for existing bellringers to further their skills. The Church handbells will be refurbished to allow the school children to be able to use the bells, and garner an interest in bells from a younger age. They will be available to use by community groups and other interested persons. Talks, open days, village events, and Bellfoundry visit are all planned to enhance the awareness and learning of this heritage.
