Historic Buildings
We are currently seeking funding to repair the below ground drainage at Hemsby Church and ensure rainwater is taken away from the church properly and improve our guidebook and website by adding professional photographs. The existing below ground drainage is not working and allows water to pool around the church building. This water is causing damaged to the Nave walls externally as well as damaging the internal finishes. Repairs will stop further damage to the Nave walls and mean the drainage will cope with environmental changes in rainfall, ensuring this Grade II listed village landmark will remain structurally sound for current and future generations to enjoy and use. The addition of quality photographs to the guidebook and our website will improve visitor’s appreciation of the heritage, and improve online access to the heritage for those who cannot visit.
