As England's only membership body representing the entire heritage sector, The Heritage Alliance aims to enhance the sector’s resilience through our "Creating Connections" project across three interconnected strands of work. We will improve sector collaboration by developing matchmaking opportunities between heritage organisations and academia, piloting regional events, and establishing role-specific peer networks. We will strengthen knowledge sharing by updating our sector newsletter, Heritage Update, and website to enhance accessibility and signposting of resources and news in areas such as climate change and heritage at risk. Additionally, we will futureproof our charity by upgrading our CRM system and fundraising for future sector-support programmes and the Heritage Funding Directory. These initiatives will provide heritage organisations with practical skills, connections and resources to address current challenges, helping them communicate their value more effectively, collaborate and improve their organisational sustainability, contributing to the protection of England's heritage for future generations.
