Historic Buildings

Heritage and Community Revitalization Project

Our project focuses on restoring and repairing key community spaces as part of this Grade II listed. We aim urgently restore & repairs the community hall, three rain-damaged rooms, the kitchen, and the fence. These spaces are crucial for hosting activities that serve around 300 visitors weekly, including programs for youth, women, children, and the elderly. By installing solar panels, we plan to reduce energy costs by 40%, enabling the building to remain open and accessible year-round. Without these repairs, the building's structural integrity and its role as a heritage, vital community hub are at significant risk, with potential long-term damage to this historic site. Consultations with local residents and community groups confirm strong support for the project and new projects, emphasizing the building’s importance in fostering community engagement and supporting various social and cultural activities. This project ensures the building's heritage and sustainability and continued service to the communities.
