Heritage in Harmony: Bells, Biodiversity and Belonging

Our project will transform St Peter’s Grade II* tower from a silent, inaccessible structure into a vibrant hub for heritage, wellbeing, and environmental learning. We will restore the 1478 tower and conserve the rare 1614 Miles Graye bell, safeguarding nationally significant musical heritage while reconnecting people with place. Over 24 months, we will engage 1,300+ participants through 35 events, prioritising youth, rurally isolated residents, and those experiencing poor mental health. Key deliverables include 1,000 curriculum-linked activity packs, a touring exhibition for 500+ users, and a WCAG 2.1 AA-compliant website. We will recruit and train 15 volunteers and a Digital Heritage Intern to co-create 30 local stories and 10 audio "Sound Postcards". Our legacy is a sustainable, community-led future supported by three digital toolkits, a five-year business plan, and a 20% increase in visitor diversity.
