Historic Buildings
High Street Chapel Building Project
Through this project the Friends would like to see the long-term future of High Street Baptist Church protected for future generations. With the cause beginning in 1807 and the present chapel built in 1841 there is a proud heritage associated with High Street Chapel. Its community is made up of a diverse range of people, who not only use the chapel on a weekly basis but frequently attend weekly functions in the adjacent church hall building. It is our hope and vision that the church continues to be a beacon of light in the High Street and surrounding communities.
