"Honouring the past – Embracing the future” St Peter’s, Kirby Bellars
1. To prepare and cost an ‘activity and development plan’ for St. Peter’s church, Kirby Bellars, setting out a new role for the church in light of the community's changing needs and re-configuration of the Diocese of Leicester. 2. To secure up-to-date plans, specifications and prices for building work needed to complete works on St. Peter's church that will enable it to fulfil its revised functions. 3. To set up robust and viable governance arrangements to oversee these developments and the future management of St Peter’s and its activities. 4. To promote organisational sustainability. This project will clarify the church’s condition, enabling accurate schedules of repairs and cost estimates to inform future conservation applications and make the heritage accessible and inclusive. With governance training and community audit insights, the PCC, alongside the DCC, will identify areas for improvement and promote organisational sustainability and future viability through the church’s effective use.
