Historic Buildings
Our goal is to secure the Newbridge Memo’s legacy for future generations by embedding heritage at the heart of community life. Through a transformational programme, we will safeguard our historic archive and capture new oral histories and cultural traditions. These will be co-curated with the community and shared via an accessible digital platform, turning memories into inclusive, creative projects that celebrate the Memo’s past and future. We will expand access by engaging local people in new, inclusive ways - through training, volunteering, and cultural participation. Sustainability is central to our vision: we will develop new income streams through social enterprise, food heritage programming, and community events, building on past learning. This investment will allow us to create a resilient, inclusive heritage and arts centre that supports skills development, wellbeing, and protects the unique culture of the South Wales Valleys.
