Inspire Wanstead: Reimaging Christ Church’s building

Our goal is to create a sustainable and long-term future for Christ Church Wanstead. For the building this is ensuring our Grade II* listed church is in good condition and preserved, as well as reducing its carbon emissions to achieve carbon net zero. We also want to see Christ Church thrive as a community space, a hub for the diverse range of communities who live here. A place where local organisations can have somewhere to meet and gather. A hive of activity where people can learn about heritage, the natural environment and sustainability, arts, crafts, textiles, and design, improve their mental health, build friendships, and have a positive experience. Through the combination of urgent capital repairs and essential reordering we can deliver this. We have over 600 people supporting the project, 50 letters of support and a team with the experience, passion, and vision to see this Christ Church reimagined.
