Historic Buildings
Harvey’s Foundry Trust want to use an opportunity provided from a renovation scheme (supported by SPF and Historic England grants), at Grade II* Listed John Harvey House – the home of Hayle Heritage Centre, to run a parallel project when the Centre is closed to improve its participation levels, and organisational resilience. We will look at how we connect with audiences and improve our inclusion, access, and participation, we will run 7 targeted community workshops, connecting with 188 residents. These workshops are providing a opportunity for consultation, which will feed into a audience development strategy. We will install a lift giving independent disabled access to an additional 259 sqm of the centre. It will consider our organisational sustainability; through business modelling focusing on income streams, how we can improve our reach/visibility, it will also train staff in effective evaluation methods.
