Joining the Dots (JTD) will harness the capacity of Salford’s heritage sector to build a resilient infrastructure, placing the city’s rich, diverse heritage at the heart of our 10yr cultural strategy. JTD will: Recruit a Heritage Partnership and Engagement Officer (HPEO) to drive engagement, participation, skills and networking to underpin the development the heritage sector. Identify and map Salford’s physical and intangible heritage assets. Develop a collaborative, resilient strategic approach to heritage asset management, building capacity across Salford’s diverse heritage sector. Develop existing networks, participation, engagement, skills and knowledge exchange. Create a robust network of heritage stewards and professionals across the city. Connect people to heritage and widen participation by increasing access to information and opportunities. Ensure that Salford’s heritage strategies and celebrations are inclusive and representative of our communities, by sharing heritage which is under-explored and under-celebrated. Encourage innovation and build digital capacity through skills development, investment and partnerships.
