Kirkcudbright Parish Church Redevelopment Phase 1

We would like to upgrade our Grade B Listed church so that it can be more widely used by the community and be more comfortable for the congregation and all others who use the building. By making the building improvements we believe we will enhance the economic viability of the building and ensure it survives for future generations to enjoy for many years to come. The building is located in the centre of the Royal Burgh of Kirkcudbright, population 3,500, whose charter dates back to 15th century. We have split the redevelopment into two phases. Phase 1 will include the provision of accessible toilets and a tea/coffee servery area, a more welcoming entrance area, improved heating and lighting and a glass partition separating this area from the rest of the church. The legacy of the project will be a building, fit for purpose, for both congregation and community.
