Sunderland is rapidly changing due to levelling up, with this comes the risk of the loss of community knowledge and heritage due to new development. We will deliver an 18 month programme to engage a wider number of people and community groups in sharing and learning about the heritage of town planning exploring the natural heritage and bio diversity in urban environments, the loss post world war and the modern re-introduction of wild spaces. To achieve this we will work in partnership with Sunderland BID and Council. - During this time we will: *Host planting workshops which will regenerate city streets while sharing knowledge of natural heritage *Deliver talks from town planners & Architects *Collect oral histories, *Produce digital content and curate QR Trails *Curate the projects research and community legacy in a public city centre exhibition which will also be digitally scanned as a resource for future engagement.
