Historic Buildings
We have a bold vision for LSA to be an inclusive and welcoming centre where health and wellbeing benefits can be delivered for all. We are lucky to be starting from a strong foundation of LSA providing a home for around twenty tenants, who all benefit the Leith community. The future of LSA could include a brand range of services for all stages of life, from infancy to older years, with particular appeal for young people from seldom-heard groups. Our project will include an extensive community engagement process to accommodate the expressed needs of residents, to learn about and celebrate the heritage and memories connected with LSA, and provide a free Open Day and exhibition as part of this work. We will also carry out feasibility work and develop a business plan, to support the plan for long-term community ownership of the building.
