Museum Fit for the Future – resilience application Isles of Scilly Museum Association

The application represents a package of capacity building and resilience works designed to ensure the Isles of Scilly Museum Association is fit for purpose as the operator of the new Isles of Scilly Cultural Centre and Museum. We need to ensure that we as trustees, and the staff employed by both ourselves and by Scilly Arts and Heritage, are organisationally ready to operate the Isles of Scilly Cultural Centre and Museum opening in Autumn 2026. We have been working with the Council of the Isles of Scilly on the project since its inception and are passionate about making the dream of a new centre a reality, and a permanent home for our unique collection. However, we have only now been asked to step up as the operating body and need to ensure we have both confidence in the business planning and competence as Trustees to take on this pivotal role.
