Historic Buildings
The Strata Florida Trust has identified four key aims of the project. 1. To carry out emergency repair works to the grade II* listed farmhouse, to prevent critical deterioration and potential loss of this highly significant building. 2. To undertake the clearance, storage and cataloguing of the historic contents of Mynachlog Fawr farmhouse, providing practical skills and engagement for students and individuals from the local community. 3. To undertake conservation on the iconic panel painting from the parlour thought to be from the 17th century. 4. To undertake thorough community consultation and develop detailed plans for a suitable, sustainable and successful end use for the farmhouse, once fully restored in the next 5 years. This project will ensure the historic building and contents are protected, and that the future end use meets the needs of the community, as a principle element of the development of the Strata Florida Centre.
