New Voices for Old Stories (New Voices)
We want to bring our heritage to life. We have had a presence in Newham since the 1800’s, working with poverty-stricken children, young people, and families. We want to celebrate the rich heritage of Aston Mansfield (A-M) over the past 140 years, using the extensive archive housed at Stratford Library. By inspiring local young people to learn about our and their heritage, and developing heritage skills, we will discover and retell stories from our past, in new ways. We will make these stories accessible to a wide range of local minoritised communities, inspiring the next generation to be curious and to research community heritage, developing new diverse audiences and supporters, and raising awareness of our and their heritage.
