Museums And Archives
This 12-month project will focus on creating a comprehensive shared Heritage Strategy for Northampton Saints Foundation and Northampton Saints Rugby Club, establishing a clear framework for future growth, sustainability, and community impact within the department. The strategy will review current collections management, interpretation, audience engagement, and governance practices, aligning them with national museum standards. Alongside this, the project will complete the Arts Council England Working Towards Accreditation process, ensuring the organisation operates to recognised best practice standards in areas such as care of collections, access, and organisational resilience. Through consultation with staff, volunteers, stakeholders, and supporters, the project will define priorities for preservation, engagement, and learning, embedding heritage as a core part of the Club’s identity. The outcome will be a robust, forward-looking plan that strengthens institutional capacity, enhances public value, and lays the groundwork for achieving full Museum Accreditation in the future.
