Historic Buildings

Old House, New Horizons

As we approach the 75th anniversary of the Bakewell & District Historical Society and 70th anniversary of the Bakewell Old House Museum in 2029 this project will: 1. Use a facilitated visioning process to engage and excite people in new projects which will enable us to achieve long term sustainability as a cultural enterprise for the benefit of all via a masterplan for the next 10 years; & 2. Repair, preserve and future proof our Grade II* Listed Tudor building, significantly improving the visitor experience, working environment and saving heritage at risk.
