‘Our Naseby, Our Heritage’ Programme Naseby is one of the most important battles to have been fought on British soil. In recent years, however, it has receded in the national consciousness. Our intent is to promote engagement and understanding of 1645, connecting with schools, youth groups and veterans. The programme will: -Develop content for young people on the Naseby.com website. -Provide an enhanced experience for visitors to the battlefield. -Provide activities for schools, youth groups and veterans. This will help reinstate the battle in the national consciousness, whilst: -Saving our heritage by engaging with a new diverse audience. -Protecting the environment by using our website and managing site visits through organised tours. -Increasing inclusion by directly engaging with schools, youth groups and veterans. -Improving organisational sustainability by establishing a diverse volunteer community, from which we will recruit the next generation of individuals who will contribute to The Naseby Battlefield Project.
