Pathways to Heritage
Pathways to Heritage aims to improve access and inclusion at Chiltern Open Air Museum (“COAM”). We will expand our workforce by providing entry-level Traineeships that remove barriers to working in the heritage sector. Trainees will develop the skills, experience and confidence to continue their careers within the museum and heritage sector. The project will be integral to the delivery of our plan to grow and diversify our audience by providing resources to extend reach and engagement, create partnerships, and improve access as well as our interpretation and collections care. The project will include CPD for the COAM team, develop interpretation and engagement opportunities for a diverse audience, aid the roll out of inclusive policies, and support ongoing work to improve access and inclusion. The project will provide opportunities to diversify COAM’s workforce and support the sustainability of COAM and ensure that it can be enjoyed by everyone.
