PEEK Into Whitevale

We aim to create a welcoming, vibrant hub for the Gallowgate community and a permanent home for children's charity PEEK by repurposing a historic building at risk. Founded in this very building in 2000, PEEK (Possibilities for Each and Every Kid) has supported and empowered children, young people, and families across Glasgow’s East End for the past 25 years. This project will secure PEEK’s future, enabling greater impact and sustainability. Built in 1902, Whitevale Baths is one of the area’s last surviving historic buildings. Decades of neglect and phased demolitions have left only its western wing standing—a fragile yet vital link to the past. The Gallowgate and Camlachie communities have long faced deprivation and a loss of identity. By restoring this landmark, we will transform a crumbling liability into a thriving asset, creating a place of pride, belonging, and opportunity for generations to come.
