Pendennis: Keep Connections

Pendennis: Keep Connections will transform the castle’s iconic Grade I listed Tudor Keep into a highlight for visitors - while preserving its historic fabric for future generations. English Heritage will create an emotive, playful experience that secures Pendennis as a must-see family destination and fosters long-term community engagement, supporting regional economic and cultural vitality. During the project, imaginative site animation and heritage skills in action will connect diverse audiences with the past, present and future of this Cornish landmark. Our work with local people will enable us to share uniquely Cornish narratives, appealing to holidaymakers, whilst reconnecting to communities. Co-creation activities with underrepresented groups will enrich storytelling by informing new people-centred interpretation that will bring the Tudor period to life. Improved access will open up both the castle and its stunning headland. By maximising engagement through once-in-a-lifetime conservation, the project will share knowledge, inspire careers, and ensure Pendennis’s future viability.
