Museums And Archives
This project will consolidate and expand the work of the LCVA conserving and sharing community videos made by marginalised and disenfranchised communities from the 1970’s to the 1990’s in London and the South East. We will develop new, innovative ways of re-activating and working with this heritage in communities, at the same time as building our organisational strength and sustainability, by: - incorporating recently discovered videos into the archive - engaging new communities in the screening of the archive. - providing opportunities for diverse communities and individuals across London and the SE to work in creative and social ways with the heritage. - updating and increasing the accessibility of the website and the archive. - strengthening our relationships with partner organisations, particularly London Screen Archive, to help us generate long-term income. - organising a training programme for apprentices and volunteers across our heritage production and exhibition activities.
