Protect Perrott's Folly

Protect Perrott's Folly is a resilience and capacity-building project which will enable us to create a long-term sustainability strategy for Perrott’s Folly. Perrott’s Folly is a grade II* listed folly-tower on the Historic England at Risk Register. Following a successful fundraising campaign (2021-4) to build a toilet and canopy on-site, we are ready to expand our existing community delivery and explore unrestricted funding opportunities. We are clear that we need to diversify our income streams so that our organisation is strong, stable and maintains delivery and access in the long-term. We need to strengthen our organisation’s infrastructure in readiness for large scale capital works urgently required to address water ingress in the top quarter of the tower. The Folly’s condition is deteriorating rapidly and we are concerned irreparable damage is being caused to both the original plaster cast ceiling and structure.
