Purchase and Restoration of Ripley Town Hall

We wish to purchase the grade 11 listed Ripley Town Hall (Hotel de Ville) from Ripley Castle Estate, continue it's restoration and increase public access. A purchase price of £400,000 has been agreed and we intend to apply to the Communities Ownership Fund for £250,000. We have already raised £60,000 in matched funding and require £175,000 from HLF to complete the purchase and restoration. A survey has identified the need for pointing of the stonework, refurbishment of the joinery and roof maintenance. We have obtained various quotes and intend to accept that of £52,740 from a trusted contractor.
