Haslemere Educational Museum aims to commemorate its 100th anniversary on the High Street by deepening community engagement and appreciation for local heritage through the "Re:collection & Re:connection" project. We plan to celebrate and preserve the town's rich history and natural environment by collecting oral histories, facilitating a community art project, a schools art display and organizing a Bioblitz event. These activities are designed to foster a shared sense of pride and belonging among diverse local groups, including commuters and recent arrivals, by involving them in meaningful heritage-related experiences. This project will not only enhance our educational offerings but also ensure that the legacy of Haslemere's cultural and natural heritage continues to inspire and educate future generations.
