Historic Buildings
Realising our Potential
We are increasingly becoming aware of the shortcomings of our church building to serve local needs and to widen its potential use. Our Grade I listed church has served our community for 800 years, yet that history brings with it issues for modern day use. We stand at the heart of the community and want to increase the use of our building, especially for those who feel marginalised. Without basic facilities such as accessible toilets and catering facilities we are severely limited by what we can do, and this turns people away. To protect our heritage, we must keep our building in good condition and make it more accessible. This will permit more people to enjoy this historic place so we can make better use of our historic asset. We will be able to promote the rich heritage of this place and to allow more people to share in it.
